Residents of the Municipality of Lunenburg, Town of Bridgewater and Town of Mahone Bay can place wood and metal items for curbside collection during scheduled fall dates.
Combined Wood and Metal Collection Limits:
Bridgewater: 2 cubic metres (2.6 cubic yards), items may weigh up to 100 kgs (220 lbs) each
Mahone Bay: 2 cubic metres (2.6 cubic yards), items may weigh up to 100 kgs (220 lbs) each
Municipality: 4 cubic metres (5.2 cubic yards), items may weigh up to 140 (308 lbs) each
Wood and metal items can measure up to 1.8 m (6 ft.). Remove spikes and brackets over 15 cms (6 in.) from wood pieces. Place wood and metal in separate piles.
Reminder: fridges, freezers, dehumidifiers, conditioners and water coolers cannot be placed curbside unless they’re professionally drained. Drop these items off at the Community Recycling Centre, 908 Mullock Road, Whynott’s Settlement, free of charge. Questions? Call (902) 543-2991.
